Introduction

VBA monolithic insulating joints, are popularly used in petrochemical plants, oil/gas wells,offshore platforms and fitted for cathodic protection on pipelines carrying natural gas, oil, water, hydrocarbons, and other kinds of petrochemical products.Insulating joints can be produced with different materials, for example carbonsteel, stainless steel, copper and other alloys. With the optimization of their characteristics, they improve the cathodic protection of pipeline with considerable savings in operating and maintenance costs. VBA monolithic insulating joints do not required any kind of maintenance.

The Special Design

We use 26 patents of Italian Nuovagiungas, such as U-shaped sealing structure system, and imported a lot of advance equipments from Italy. Italian Nuovagiungas supplies main components of the insulating joints. So VBA insulating joints are always in the leading position in the world. We are focus on the quality management in the production of the insulating joints, the quality pass rate isrequired to achieve 100%, and the ISO 9001 Quality Management System has guaranteed the quality reliability in the entire use.

The Products

Two different products supplied:

-for underground or aboveground main pipelines use (standard joints): available from stock.

-for special application (special joints): on request only according to client's specifications.

Service meter jointsare supplied with welding and/or thread end.

Standard insulating joints for main pipelines are available for design/operating pressures up to100 Bar and for special applications such as the transport of heat water for district heating.

Joints for special applications are produced in compliance with customer specifications for design/operating pressures up to 1000 Bar , diameter up to 800 mm, dielectric strength up to 20 KV, working temperature from 40 to 250, and for corrosive or sour fluids and/or environments.

Standard testing

-Hydraulic test at 1.5Mpa (100%)

-Applied voltage test at 3kV (100%)

-Measurement of electrical resistance in air (100%)

-Visual inspection (100%)

-Dimensional check on threads and bevels (100%)
